Coach Advisor / Program Assistant

The Coach Advisor / Program Assistant demonstrates strong coaching skills and the ability to guide and direct tasks to volunteers. This position involves coaching and supervising volunteers while enhancing, overseeing, and maintaining program assistant duties including office maintenance and duties. Perform essential administrative, data management, program-related duties, and other tasks as described below to further the mission of CASA of Titus, Camp, and Morris Counties Volunteers.

Coach Advisor / Program Assistant will follow CASA of Titus, Camp, and Morris Counties Employee Handbook, Policies, and Procedures; have the knowledge and follow Texas and National CASA Standards relevant to your position; will complete 30 hours of Pre-Service Volunteer Training upon hire. 

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing and Coaching CASA Volunteers and working with them one-on-one.
  • Visiting the children in their placement. 
  • Visit potential placements.
  • Visits parents
  • Ability to travel and stay overnight to visit children.
  • Ability to travel and stay overnight for training. 
  • Testifying in Court
  • Ability to learn and use OPTIMA (CASA web-based software)
  • Assisting with the recruitment of new CASA Volunteers 
  • Assisting and training CASA Volunteers. 
  • Ability to work individually and as a team. 
  • Ability to work with diversity and different personalities. 
  • Oversee, implement, and follow through with CFE on all cases.
  • Assisting with Fundraising 
  • Working with the Department of Family and Protective Services, Attorneys, and Judges. We are going through changes as Community-Based Care has begun its roll-out phases for Region 4.
  •  Support and manage daily office duties and maintain the upkeep of the CASA office.
  • Cleaning and organizing office.
  • Assisting with marketing and recruitment including posting on the CASA of TCM Facebook, Website, Instagram, and sending notifications to the local chambers and newspapers.
  • Assisting with the maintenance organization files and paperwork.
  • Assisting the Executive Director and Program Director with the day-to-day runnings of the organization.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass background checks through the Department of Family and Protective Service, FBI Fingerprints, and any additional background checks requested
  • Ability to work flexible hours when needed
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  • Ability to work with all ages, with different backgrounds and different personalities.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365
  • Ability to multitask
  • Bilingual is a plus
