Donation thank you to the Nita DeWoody Family

Christi Denney and her precious children presented CASA of Titus, Camp and Morris Counties with a check for a $1,500.00 donation from the proceeds raised for  “The Jingle Bell Jog” 5K race in memory of Christi’s sister, Nita DeWoody.  “This event and donation are very personal to me,” stated Christi.  “The first year the race was born out of immense grief when my sister passed away very unexpectedly,” Christi shared with CASA.  The race continues as a way to honor the life of Nita DeWoody and give back to the community in areas that were near and dear to Nita DeWoodys heart.  Access to higher education for non-traditional students (like moms) and helping children in distress were two causes that Nita championed and supported throughout her life and both careers.  Christi and her family are humbled and honored to make a donation to CASA of Titus, Camp and Morris annually.  “The 5K race and this donation are made possible by generous business sponsors, participants, family and friends coming together to make it happen,” stated Christi.  The 2020 race may look a little different but the race and event are still being planned.  If you would like to participate or get more news and updates for “The Jingle Bell Jog” contact Christi at  facebook.com/nitadewoodymemorial.  Christi is also a consultant for Usborne Books and More and in January her VIP group held a special party benefiting CASA of Titus, Camp and Morris Counties.  CASA was blessed with not only the monetary donation but $240 worth of brand new books specifically for babies and teenagers.  Thank you from the CASA family to the incredible Denney family and everyone that makes “The Jingle Bell Jog” possible.
